- [SPOILERS] Since a lot of people are confused, I'll try to explain. This is the final scene of Season 3 of Legend of Korra, slightly edited by me.
The girl on the wheelchair, Avatar Korra, has suffered over 3 seasons of physical and emotional pain, hence why she is upset. My edit in the video above is meant to demonstrate this more clearly by showing various flashbacks from earlier in the show. The person who looks like Aang is actually Aang's granddaughter, Jinora. She shaved her head for her inauguration as an airmaster. Aang is dead during The Legend of Korra. Yes, Jinora looking like Aang is likely intentional. They are related, after all.
Other common queries - 'This isn't an alternate ending!' It's an alternate take on the ending with re-edited content.
